Mandala Dressage focuses on creating a calm, supportive, personalized environment for our horses and riders. As such, our program is relatively small, accommodating at most 16 horses -- 12 in stall board, four in the field. Because training and education underpin everything that Mandala Dressage hopes to accomplish for the entire Mandala community, we maintain an expectation that everyone at the barn will engage with the training program on some level, whether that is one or more private lessons or training rides a week, group sessions, or other educational activities.

Training and Lessons
Training and Lessons with Kate are charged at $100 per hour.

Kate is currently accepting new training clients. First priority will be given to riders with horses boarding at Mandala; however, Kate has some availability for riders wishing to trailer-in, or have lessons/training rides at facilities within a 50 mile radius of Warrenton.

Kate designs each training program specifically for you and your horse, which is why Mandala doesn't offer a menu of standard training packages. Rather, working with Kate, you can choose the combination of lessons and training rides, mounted and ground work, that you need on a week to week basis. Kate advises that riders wanting full training schedule three or four lessons/training rides per week, leaving time for rides on your own. However, if you're sending your horse to Kate for training while you live elsewhere, or you'll be out of town, Kate will work with your horse as many days a week as appropriate for your horse's level of training and fitness.
Horses needing special services such as rehabilitation, integration after importation, or post-import quarantine, also will receive individualized plans in consultation with their owners.

In addition to individual sessions, Kate offers group lessons, trail rides, and education sessions at variable rates depending on the activity and number of participants.

Stall Board
Stall Board is full care and charged at $1,650 per month.
Stall boarders have access to all amenities in the main barn, including an assigned locker in one of the two barn tack rooms, the barn restroom, lounge, both rings, and ride out around and from the property.​
Field Board
Field Board is full care and charged at $850 per month.

Field boarders have access to the amenities in the lower barn, including an assigned tack locker, the restroom in the main barn, lounge, both rings, and ride out around and from the property.​
Full Care
Full care includes twice-daily feeding, turnout (for stall boarders), blanketing, and continuous wellness monitoring, along with holding your horse for the vet or farrier for one appointment a month. Additional services, such as additional feedings, injecting prescribed medications, overseeing your horse at additional appointments, grooming, tacking, bathing, clipping, braiding, and special care necessary due to injury or illness, can be arranged with advance notice and will be billed according to our current fee schedule.
Our feeding regimen, which is included in the cost of board, is based on providing natural high quality feeds (no GMOs, chemical preservatives, molasses, or other added sugars or synthetic feeds) and consists of soaked timothy and alfalfa cubes along with a broad spectrum mineral mix and Crypto Aero added for palatability and completeness. Boarders are welcome to provide additional or substitute feeds and supplements, which the staff will administer without additional cost provided that the feeding schedules are aligned to the standard Mandala routine.
